Privacy
What we collect, and what we do not.
This Privacy Notice explains how Rocket Propulsion Laboratory LLC handles information for this website, downloads, licensing, checkout, and support.
Last updated July 15, 2026.
Who is responsible
Rocket Propulsion Laboratory LLC is responsible for the information it receives through this website, licensing support, sales, and email. Contact contact@rocketpropulsionlab.net for privacy questions.
Information you send us
When you email us, ask for support, or contact sales, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organization, role, platform, intended use, and message. We use it to respond, support licensing, answer product questions, and maintain ordinary business records.
Checkout and licensing
Freemius acts as reseller and Merchant of Record for paid checkout. It and its payment providers process order, payment, billing address, tax, currency, fraud-prevention, and invoice information under their own notices. Rocket Propulsion Laboratory LLC receives the customer, purchase, license, and fulfillment information needed to activate licenses, provide support, manage subscriptions, and maintain records.
When you activate a license, the app may send Freemius the license key, product and license identifiers, an install identifier, a one-way device identifier, activation state, and the purchase email or other account fields when requested. Periodic validation and deactivation use the license and install credentials. The app does not include project files or engineering inputs or outputs in these requests.
Website analytics and cookies
This website uses a cookie-free, first-party measurement system to maintain aggregate counts of page views, selected link and checkout-button clicks, and completed-purchase signals. It records the current page path, entrance page, English or Chinese page, referring hostname, and the standard UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term values when present. Those five UTM values are read from the page query string, length-limited, and stored only in aggregate by UTC date and hour; the complete query string is not stored.
The measurement system does not use cookies, browser storage, cross-site advertising trackers, or visitor identifiers. It does not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, full referring URLs, non-UTM query parameters, names, email addresses, engineering information, or checkout-form contents. Aggregate analytics records are retained for 395 days. Freemius checkout is a separate service; some pages load its JavaScript so purchase links can open checkout, and the links still go to Freemius checkout if JavaScript is unavailable. The Namecheap-hosted web service may maintain ordinary server logs for security, operations, and reliability under provider-defined retention.
The desktop application
RPL Engine Workbench is a local desktop application. Your engineering project files, reports, and exports are stored locally on your computer and are not transmitted to Rocket Propulsion Laboratory LLC as part of the core workflow. License activation and validation communicate with Freemius as described above. The app does not send usage telemetry or analytics. See Security & local data for storage details.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share what is necessary with Freemius and its payment providers, Namecheap-hosted web infrastructure, email and support providers, and professional advisers, and where required to meet legal, export-control, sanctions, security, or compliance obligations.
Retention
Aggregate first-party analytics records are retained for 395 days. Purchase, invoice, and license records are retained for the subscription and as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute, and legal obligations. Support and contact correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain ordinary business records. Provider server logs follow provider-defined retention. We delete or de-identify records when they are no longer needed, subject to backups and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, or to object to or restrict certain processing where applicable. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law permits or requires it. Subscription and checkout records can also be managed through the Freemius Customer Portal. Reach us at contact@rocketpropulsionlab.net.
Children
The product and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Changes
If our practices change, we will update this page to describe what is in use.
