Vendor Terms & License FAQ
Terms shown before you purchase.
These Vendor Terms supplement the Freemius checkout terms and EULA for RPL Engine Workbench. Trial mode is built into the app; a paid license unlocks the capabilities and limits associated with the purchased plan.

Trial
Trying before you license.
How do I try the software?
Go to Download, choose the Windows 11 beta or Apple silicon Mac build, and open the app. Trial mode is built in, and no license key is required to start.
What does a paid license unlock?
Every paid option unlocks engine sizing and operating-point workflows, injector and feed-system tools, nozzle geometry, DXF export, PDF/CSV/JSON reports, project saving, and Flowfield Studio with steady-state and transient simulation, playback, and VTK export. Personal Monthly supports Flowfield meshes up to 250,000 cells and one device activation. The annual options have no plan-tier Flowfield mesh cap. Personal is for noncommercial work; Business permits commercial use.
Can I redistribute the app or license key?
No. The app, license keys, activated seats, and restricted delivery materials are not for redistribution except as expressly allowed by the applicable license terms.
Who owns my projects and generated outputs?
You retain your rights in the inputs you provide and the reports, geometry, data files, images, and other outputs generated from them, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. A Business license permits delivering generated outputs to an employer or client. Personal outputs may be used and shared only within the permitted noncommercial purpose. These output rights do not transfer ownership of the application, algorithms, documentation, embedded reference data, license keys, or Rocket Propulsion Laboratory LLC branding.
Choosing a license
Which license fits.
Who qualifies for the Personal license?
One named user performing personal, educational, academic, hobby, or other noncommercial work, including an individual member of a university team. Personal Monthly is $29/month with a 250,000-cell Flowfield cap and one-device activation limit. Personal Annual is $199/year with no plan-tier Flowfield mesh cap. Licenses may not be shared. Work performed for a company, customer, or employer requires Business.
What about companies and contractors?
Work for a company, customer, or employer — including consulting, paid engineering, and internal commercial R&D — requires the Business license at $799/year. It includes the annual paid capabilities with no plan-tier Flowfield mesh cap, plus commercial-use rights.
Is a license per seat, per user, or per organization?
Each license is for one named user; it is not an institutional or site license and may not be shared. The plan, seat count, and device-activation limit shown in checkout and your Freemius Customer Portal control. University teams and companies requiring access for multiple users should request volume pricing.
I bought an Academic or Business plan earlier — is my license still valid?
Yes. Licenses purchased under earlier plan names remain valid and keep the capabilities and terms they were sold with. Renewals and account management stay in the Freemius customer portal.
Updates, support, renewal, and refund
Terms and requirements.
Are updates included during the license term?
Yes. Updates released during your license term are included.
What support is included?
Email support is included while a paid subscription is active. Support covers installation, activation, and reasonable troubleshooting of released functions; no response-time or resolution-time service level is promised unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Contact support@rocketpropulsionlab.net.
How does renewal and cancellation work?
Personal Monthly automatically renews each month at $29. Personal Annual and Business automatically renew each year at $199 and $799 respectively while the subscription remains active and unchanged. Cancel before renewal in the Freemius Customer Portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, and access continues through that term.
What is the 7-day money-back guarantee?
For the initial purchase, you may request a refund within seven days when a material product function is unusable and, after you contact support and reasonably cooperate with troubleshooting, the issue cannot be resolved. The guarantee does not cover missing or unadvertised features, third-party or environment incompatibilities, a change of mind, or renewal charges. Email support@rocketpropulsionlab.net from the purchase address with the order information and reproducible issue. Approved refunds are processed through Freemius.
Who processes checkout and tax?
Freemius is the reseller and Merchant of Record. It processes payment, applicable taxes, currency conversion, invoices, renewals, and approved refunds. Taxes and available currencies are calculated at checkout.
What are the platform requirements?
The current Mac release is version 1.0.0 for Apple silicon on macOS 26 or later; it is signed and notarized. The Windows release is an unsigned 1.0.0 public beta for Windows 11 (64-bit x64). Windows 10, Windows on Arm, and Intel Macs are not supported.
Does the software need an internet connection?
The core engineering workflow runs locally and does not require an always-on connection. License activation and validation may use the licensing provider. See Security & local data.
Order of terms
These Vendor Terms supplement the plan, price, seat count, activation limit, and billing disclosures shown at checkout and in the Freemius EULA. If they conflict, the checkout record and Freemius EULA control. For licensing questions, contact sales@rocketpropulsionlab.net.
